Glamping, short for glamorous camping, is a popular trend in the travel world. It is a great way to visit the outdoors with more creature comforts than the traditional tent camping or backpacking allows. Some of our favorite websites related to glamping are:  Glamping.com and Glampinghub.com. Both sites offer great options for glamping accommodations throughout the world.

When you hear glamping, you may be picturing a tent...but really it includes all types of accommodations, like: cabins, fire lookout towers, tipis, yurts, vans, and many more. There is a unique accommodation for everyone! For those of you who don't think you like camping, you may want to try glamping instead!

The following is a list of what we would pack for a glamping trip, or items that we would use in order to create our own glamping set-up!

Solar Charger

This portable solar charger is perfect for glamping. If your accommodation does not have electricity, you will still be able to charge your phone, camera, portable speakers, etc. All you have to do is set it out in the sun and the battery will charge. You can also fully charge the battery at home prior to leaving, in case you don't have sunshine on your trip!

Duffel Bag

A duffel bag is the perfect suitcase for glamping. They are flexible in their design, great for throwing in the trunk of your car or the overhead compartment of the plane! Ditch that bag you have with wheels, they may be hard to drag depending on where your glamping trip leads you!

Mini Projector

This item will definitely take you from camping to glamping! This projector can be connected to your smart phone, gaming system, camera, or dvd player through an HTMI cable. Now you can never leave home without access to Netflix again!  Perfect for a rainy day when you are stuck inside! (Please note that this is projector does need to be plugged in to be used.)

Reclining Camp Chair

You can't go camping (even glamping) without having a campfire and some s'mores. Why settle for sitting on the ground, or on a stump when you can use a comfortable chair like this? It even reclines! You will be happy you packed it, and your back with thank you!

LED Lantern

Who doesn't love the look of a vintage lantern? This LED lantern is both glamorous AND functional. Why use a handheld flashlight or headlamp when you can use this adorable LED one instead? It is glamping after all, you have to take it up a notch!

Cooler

One of the easiest ways to establish glamping status is in the area of food & drinks. With this amazing cooler, your food with stay cool for days!  Cooking dinner and making cocktails are some of the best parts of glamping. This cooler is so large that there will be no need to create a light menu. Leave those freeze-dried meals at home and bring steak instead!

Yard Games

Along with cooking dinner, games are another great way to pass time in the evenings. Pack more than just a deck of cards and get everyone moving with some fun yard games! This set is for 8 people, so everyone can get in on the fun.

French Press

If you are anything like us, coffee is life.  While glamping, we like to indulge and bring a french press vs. the usual pour-over system we use while camping. A french press is also great if you are glamping in a group and you need to serve coffee to the masses.

Air Mattress or Cot

A bad, uncomfortable night's sleep while camping is the worst! With glamping, upgrading your sleeping set-up is a must. With this inflatable air mattress & cot, you will be wake up feeling refreshed for a day spent outside! We like that it is off the ground too, making it easier to get out of bed in the morning.

Flannel Bedding

No glamping accommodation is complete without some Pendleton! Upgrade from your sleeping bag to these flannel sheets, not only are they warm but adorable as well!

Bluetooth Speaker

This portable speaker pair with your favorite device via bluetooth. If you are like us, music is always playing while hanging out. This speaker works wirelessly, with a charged battery. Don't worry though, you can recharge it using your solar charger! They also sell a car charger on Amazon that you could use to make sure you have a full charge upon arrival at your glamping site.

Enamel Cook Set

Another simple way to upgrade from camping to glamping, is to focus on the kitchen. Ditch the plastic cookware and invest in this enamel set instead. You will feel like a pioneer with the adorable speckled blue design. We have this set and absolutely love it!

2- Burner Stove

We have this stove and it's amazing! It is high powered, allowing you to boil water for coffee quickly or whip dinner in a hurry when you are hungry. With 2 burners, you can multitask in the kitchen. We also love this stove because we it pairs well with our griddle we use to make bacon on! Glamping + bacon = living.

   Water Bottle

We are obsessed with anything hydroflask! Not because their products come in so many adorable colors, but because their products are amazing! They keep your drink SO cold (or hot if you buy a thermos.) They are the perfect water bottle for a long day spent outside. Even after hours of hiking, your water will still be cold when you are needing that cold, refreshing drink.

Field Guide Set

We are obsessed with all things nature and science related. When we camp, we try to bring 1 0r 2 of my field guides. When glamping, we pack all of them! They are perfect for reading when you have downtime, or pack a few to explore while you are out hiking. Your friends will be happy you packed them and you are bound to learn something new!

Instant Camera

If you didn't document it, did it really happen? This camera is a great, fun accessory to add to any clamping trip. It's a lot easier to pack in a day bag than a traditional DSLR camera. It is also battery operated, so you don't have to worry about keeping it charged...just make sure to pack backup batteries.

Canvas Tent

This canvas tent is a dream come true for any glamping trip. It is HUGE inside, you could set up a full bedroom with room to spare! You can set it up for glamping in the backyard, or take it to a beautiful campground to show off how you camp in style. Your campground neighbors will definitely be jealous of your set-up with they see this!
